Testimonials 2021

“Wow... unique and excellent This was our first time away with the baby as we had a wedding to attend nearby - got moved twice due to covid....
It was just amazing, from the friendly welcome till the goodbye we felt welcome. I have to say the breakfast is another level - best breakfast I ever had staying away in a B&B!!!
Highly recommend it to anyone!!”

“Just back from the loveliest weekend away. Such a warm welcome, perfect nights’ sleep and delicious breakfast. A unique cottage and stayed in the loft apartment. Highly recommended and should we go back to that area will book again. Thank you to contributing to lovely memories.”

"Beautiful house and garden, amazingly eclectic mix of furnishings from the hosts years of travelling, their backgrounds, their experience. Great welcome, fabulous breakfast, secure parking, beautifully decorated and comfortable room, and use of garden for my dog. Loved it."

"Our family had enjoyed our stay with Peter and Joey so much last year that we booked another visit this summer. April Cottage has 2 bedrooms (and 2 bathrooms) that you can book so perfect for a family of 4. It is comfortable, spotless and has a beautiful garden where, weather permitting, Peter lays out the most delicious 5* breakfast. It is in a great location, near Corfe Castle, Studland and Swanage etc. and Peter and Joey have a helpful folder of where to go and which restaurants to go to (don't go to any others or you will be sorry!). They are a delightful couple and more than happy to help with any questions or give you suggestions of what to do if you are stuck. A great stay."

"Fabulous breakfast and wonderful hosts! The full English breakfast plus fresh local fruit were served every morning in the breath-taking garden by Peter. We stayed in the double bedroom (with en suite) upstairs and our sons stayed in the twin bedroom (with private bathroom) on ground floor. The rooms were meticulously cleaned and very nicely decorated with artifacts from Peter and Joanna's travels around the world. Our hosts were warm and welcoming and helped us with directions and tips for local visits. The whole place is wonderful; we would definitely stay here next time we come to Dorset."

"After driving past April Cottage and Lapland Lodge so many times in the past, my interest was piqued when I saw them on Airbnb! I am so glad I booked as we had the most wonderful time, Peter and Joey are fantastic hosts and made us feel so welcome. The cottage and lodge are cosy and beautifully decorated. You are given all that you will need in the rooms for a comfortable stay and the hosts were very accommodating if we had extra requests. The setting and garden are stunning, and thanks to good weather we enjoyed Peter's amazing breakfasts in the garden every day! Location is easy to find and ideal for getting to various places around Purbeck, I miss being there already and can't wait to go back! Would a million percent recommend to other Airbnb-ers :)"

" A little gem in Harmon’s Cross. We loved the way it felt like we were really in a Lapland Lodge and the fairy lights at night made it so pretty. Peter is a very hospitable host and made us feel very welcome. We really enjoyed the cheese fondue evening we had, and breakfast was delicious. We would be very happy to stay again."

"We had a great stay at the lodge. The garden is perfect for grounding and sun gazing. A very clean and cosy lodge in a convenient spot to explore the surrounding areas. Top hosts who take care of you and give a fantastic breakfast."

"Peter is a fantastic host. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay, including the special Swiss Cheese Fondue, and not to mention the special recipe scrambled eggs for breakfast!
Highly recommended."
